I just heard on the Yankee broadcast that he died today.

I heard on ESPN radio he had heart surgery in April and had been in the hospital since that time.

Zimmer was a great baseball man. He knew it as well as anyone. He was a character of the game too and he will be greatly missed. RIP Don Zimmer
