Do I need to buy an antenna? My TV has a tuner

My TV gets both digital and HDTV signals (integrated tuner). Do I need to buy a special antenna? Or can I get the HD and digital broadcast with a regular antenna. I am renting a house that has an outside antenna just waiting to be used.

Hook it up. If you can get decent analog signals, the digital signals should be even better.

If I can't get any analog channels using an electrical/amplified bunny ears, then should I take a chance in buying and HDTV amplifier?

It says that I can get a few channels about 45-50 miles away.

Yea... that far away, an Inside Antenna wouldn't work to well, even with an Amp ! Stick with using the Outside antenna.

I'm not sure how to connect the outside antenna. There is a outlet type thing in the wall (old house) that might work. I might have to get through 3 layers of siding though to connect it.
