My basement is currently under construction, but I would like to start planning my home theater setup. I want to run two RG6 cable into the basement, to hook-up a HD DVR but I’m out of ports on my sat. My current Slim-line 5LNB sat only has 4 RG5 ports which are all being used. Should I call D* and order an 8 port mutiswitch, or is there another way around this? If I order a switch, can it be installed in my garage? This would make my life easier if additional runs are needed. Thanks in advised for your help.:)

The Zinwell WB68 would do the trick I believe. If D* is going to eventually hook up your new system, they'd provide it for free. If you're adding another location w/DVR they may do the upgrade for free assuming you acquire the new hardware from them. HTH

One thing to remember is that all four lines coming from the dish need to connect to the inputs on the WB68 and then 6 of the outputs from the WB68 will connect to your receivers. Just wanted to mention that so you have all the cables routed correctly.
