I was wondering when you will be able to get a waiver for distant HD locals. My city, Rockford IL, has ABC BCS NBC in hd but not fox and i was wondering if it was possible to recieve the Chicago feed.

Call Dish, tell them your new address is "some other address in Chicago, IL" and it is your vacation home. Done.
Be sure your HD locals you want aren't on spot beams though, if they are, you might not be able to receive them.

Notice that Simon's post above is almost a year old. I know I haven't seen a post from him in months.
Geesh, I didn't notice that. I just knew I hadn't seen anything from him in a while and it never dawned on me that someone would resurrected a year old thread.
Anyone know if SS is still around or what happened to him? He used to post a lot.
