Ok, I have a dish 500 and another dish 500 pointed at 110 119 and 61.5. I called Dish to inquire about the new HD channels and they indicated I was entitled to a free migration to the western arc and a technician would come onsite free of charge. I asked what that meant and at the time I was told I would be getting a 1000.2 upgrade. I got a call this morning from the technician who was coming out to tell me he would be out this afternoon to repoint my dish. I told him Dish said I was getting a new 1000.2 setup. He said his workorder only authorized a repoint. I called Dish back and spoke to a retention specialist. He indicated I was authorized for a 1000.2 upgrade, after a while he put me on hold and when he came back on told me he had spoke to the tech manager and he said in my area all the setups were like this. I told hiim all my neighbors had 1000.2 setups and he said there is nothing he could do. At that point I hung up. Well I waited all day and tonight at 8 pm I get a call indicating that the technician could not make it, I rescheduled for next week. Now my question, am I entitled to a 1000.2 upgrade, and what should I do next to insure I get one. I pay 160.00 a month and have been a Dish customer for 9 years. It seems I always have issues with them. Any suggestions would be welcome.
