I was working with a friend
She was unable to tune in several channels due to an obstruction or signal loss message
She has eastern arc.. we did a check switch and the 61.5 satellite had no signal
She recently had a windstorm
Reset receiver..checked connections..verified issue on other receivers
She has vip 211k and a vip222
Now for the best part
Got a hold of tech support
I explaned the situation and explaned trouble shooting
Advised we had done a switch check and noticed the missing satellite
Asked for a tech to due a repoint
She has insurance for dispatch
The dish tech rep asked why did the check switch?.. She said it wasn't necessary
Am I the clueless one or is the dish tech rep an idiot?
I dunno but they are coming to repoint the dish
