Yes. Clearly you missed Scott's new "Disney/Dish Deal Struck!" thread. blugras had to be hospitalized because of HD related euphoria that overwhelmed him.

You act as if Dish got rid of these channels. I can see being angry at Dish if they just dropped a channel but when channels no longer exist it makes no sense to get angry at your channel provider.

I did not say that it was Dish's fault........but what we were paying for diminished in value due to lesser channels & the consumer saw no change

I doubt that Dish's expenses went down after the loss of those channels as well.

If that is held up and Aereo wins in court. It could really change. Dish could set up an Aero type deal. Then the locals would probably pull a..... "we're going to cable" type thing. Its a whole big cluster you know what. I think people like myself and The Fat Man are just tired of the networks having their cake and eating it to. They get the best of both works with commercials and re transmission fees. Something has got to give.

You could also make the argument that if one (retrans fees or commercials) goes away, the other would have to rise to make up the difference.

Their is a basic deal in place.

It is now up to the lawyers to sew up the legal speak. That can take some time before the final contract is signed.

They'll more then likely show up in an uplink report at some point after the announcement about the deal is made.

SEC Network has been confirmed. We are also likely to get Disney Jr and Fusion. Not sure if Longhorn Network or the proposed ACC Network will be included in this or not.

Disney Jr makes a lot of sense since like every parent has been asking for it. I doubt Fusion would be included though. Just a waste of a channel that no one is going to watch. I can see it get put through maybe a Latino package though.
The deal will probably include Disney Jr. (also HD possibly), ESPNews HD, ESPNU HD, ABC Family HD, Disney XD HD and Disney HD. That's what I think since these are the most requests from us and everyone else.

Way too much optimism in this thread..my guess ESPN channels for sure..everything else..other than sec channel..is a crap shoot..charlie drives hard bargains and likes to cheap out where ever he can

I don't think we can call him Cheap Charlie any longer.These past 2 years of price hikes back that up.
