It's a documented feature. In fact if you use the other method (star button) you get a screen message reminding you that you can use the page buttons.

Well it needs to be the same for all receivers and the * button has been the picture change format button so I see it as a OOPSEE.If not it would be printed right on the remote control don't you think?. That's just my opinion
