Dish India Support

Watch your mouth!

I've always found the India tech support to be better than the US. Nothing against fat, lazy, inbred Americans making minimum wage and not giving a fark about their job....

But, the Indian people at least try to help me

I have NEVER had an Indian person (at a call center) that knew what the hell they were doing, much less speak English.

If it weren't for us fat, lazy, inbred Americans, India and other third world countries would be still starving and spreading disease everywhere (more than they already are).

Wow, get xenophobic why don't you? My point was don't blame the Indians, they are just working there. Most of them seem eager to help and usually will go out of their way to assist you. Most US customer service people don't.

The Indian people are making good money relative to other people in their country so they appreciate the job, most of my experience with US customer service people, (not just Dish) is entirely the opposite.

If you can't beat them then at least make money off of them. Last September I bought an India Fund and it is up 12% so far. That's 12% in 6 months.

Are you sure that you were not just talking to someone in the Philippines? They do have a call center there. I was unaware there was one in India.

Ok...I give...what's at that number?

What?

You could have dialed it by now.

It's the executive resolution team. They can take care of practically any problem without insulting your intelligence.

Thing is, in America, the avg wage of a Call Center employee is near the wage of working at Mcdonalds (I know of some call centers where entry level people make LESS than you make flipping burgers) so I can see why the jobs are not taken as seriously as they should. Not saying its right though but I can see why those jobs attract people who "could give a darn"
