I have Dish Network and receive my local channels from an external antenna instead of paying them for local channels. I just hooked up a second TV and with TV2 I cannot scan for local channels. Dish tells me that I cannot get the local channels from an antenna on the second TV. Is there a way I can work around this?

Thank You
Tim

If its not a 222k or 722k with and over the air module, then no. Those are the only receivers that allow over the air viewing on tv2. Your only other option, if you did not want to replace your receiver with a K series, is to us the tuner in your tv.

There is a trick. Go to TV1 and pick the OTA channel and hit record. Go to TV2 and hit play on that recording. Kind of a pain but it works if you do not have the 722k.

Get a digital tuner box and connect it to the second tv, all you need to do is split the ota signal before receiver and combine that signal with the rf out to the second tv. You then add the converter box at before input into second tv.
