Sleazy delay tactic on Dish's part. I hope they get what's coming to them. NBC/Universal needs to take them to the woodshed.
He doesn't have a clue, just an attitude! What the heck does that mean or relate to?
For some reason, as a database administrator people at work call me Commander Data.Where's Spock when we need him!
How do you know?Comcast finally blinked... Since they knew they had no ground to stand on before hand. Niiice.
Regardless, C-NBCU did not play this well. Stirring the feathers, trying to intimidate customers and blaming Dish for everything, when they were contractually obligated to do so no earlier than 72 hours prior to the contract's end, and then only in certain circumstances. I hope the court slaps C-NBCU's hand bad for breach of contract. Dish remained silent as per the contract, so Comcast has no leg to stand on so far as that issue is concerned. How do you know?
With most renewals both sides probably dont get what they want
You are correct. Both sides submit their best offer and the arbiter will decide which one is acceptable. You're thinking of a mediator. An Arbirator will actually decide for both sides, and decision is final. A mediator will have both sides meet in the middle and come to agreeable terms(I learned this ironically enough on USA's 'Fairly Legal'. Granted it was reinforced in my law class last semester, these are just two forms of Alternate Dispute Resolutions(ADR).
Dish did here... channels still on, no blackout, Comcast with some egg on their face. How do you know?
With most renewals both sides probably dont get what they want
Please do explain how this is a sleazy tactic?
I guess the FCC will decide how "vague" their claims are soon....Dish throws a tantrum, makes vague claims of "breach of contract"
Most people on this site are. Are you going to criticize those who are biased when they agree with you?Sounds like you are going in this biased already.
