I just now noticed that all the DNS & Airline core channels are completely gone from my EPG. (390-399 & 9531-34, though the national PBS feed on 389 is still visible) And yes, my receiver is set on show everything.
Is this happening with everyone else? Did something happen to all these channels, or did D* just "hide" them from non-subs?
If it's the latter, I would be surprised, because I didn't think D* could do that on their receivers...

The Coyotes, for however long they have left in Arizona, will be on Scripps's KNXV/15.2, along with KGUN/9.2 Tucson and KUPX/16 and KSTU/13.2 in Utah. (Scripps already owns 2 stations in Phoenix, so they had to divest KPPX to INYO)

As previously reported, the Suns will be on AZ Family 3 and AZ Family Sports, For Phoenix most games will be on AZ Family 3, but other areas will only have the game on their newly launched AZ Family Sports channels KAZF/32 Flagstaff (Phoenix), KAZS/27 Yuma and KOLD/13.5 Tucson, who are still negotiating carriage deals.

Unfortunately it looks like viewers in New Mexico got screwed over by these deals and as of now will have to purchase an in territory streaming subscription for each team.

On a semi-related note for the Golden Knights, in addition to KMCC/34 for Vegas, their games will be on KUPX/16 Utah, the MTN subchannels in Montana made up of Scripps' former CW Plus affiliates, and Sinclair's KNSN/21 Reno. In Idaho they will be on KIVI/6.2 Boise and KSAW/6.2 Twin Falls.

The Jazz will be on KJZZ/14

the sub channels mentioned above in the Coyotes deal are not even in HD

It probably didn't help their prospects that there's a big risk that they will leave the state or country in the next few years. In Utah's case they will have KUPX but only if there isn't a conflict with the Golden Knights, otherwise they will be on KSTU 13.2. Unless Scripps makes it worth their while, I doubt DIRECTV or DISH will sign a mid-term deal for their subchannel affiliates, the only reason why the MTN subchannels have carriage is because they are the former CW Plus affiliates.

For Tucson, the Suns don't even list DIRECTV or DISH as coming soon where AZ Family Sports is limited to a subchannel of KOLD. They only have it listed for Phoenix/Flagstaff and Yuma where Gray used the allotments they won in the post-repack auction.

That's the thing with sports on OTA. No major network is going to allow their affiliates to pre-empt primetime programming 3-5 nights a week for an entire season. Unless the rights holder has an independent they can convert or the spare bandwidth to do dual HD, it's going to be SD only OTA. In Phoenix, Scripps had to divest KPPX to INYO because they also owned KASW, so they can't use Ion like they did in Vegas and Utah, and KASW is the market's ATSC 3.0 host, so KNXV's RF 15 signal is already doing dual HD to carry 61.1 CW.

It’s looking like the territory/blackout maps are changing as a result of these TV deals… the areas of New Mexico mentioned are not eligible for Suns DTC, meaning no blackouts on NBA League Pass for there. The Jazz’s territory also shrunk to 150 miles which means all of Montana and most of Idaho has no blackout on NBA LP (unless the Trail Blazers plan to claim those markets via Root Sports, which that map may be confusing)

The Root Sports map is from May 2023, so it's likely outdated. For cable viewers in those states Root Northwest carried the Jazz games produced by Rocky Mountain's Utah subfeed.

EDIT: 2 days ago WBD uploaded a new NBA Zip Code list for the Turner channels including NBA TV, 58 zip codes were removed from the Phoenix Suns blackout list compared to last season, while for Utah 568 zip codes were removed. No changes to the zip code list for Portland

Their NHL list was uploaded in September, and nothing has changed for the Golden Knights compared to last season.

Do you think the Rockies will join the Avalanche and Nuggets on Altitude?
Sources said that Altitude has approached the Rockies in the hopes of having a three-team RSN with the Nuggets, Avalanche and Rockies.

Altitude is hoping that a deal with the Rockies — and its 162-game season during the summer — will help it resolve its dispute with Comcast, which owns the market’s dominant cable system in Xfinity. Comcast has not carried Altitude since September 2019, and no agreement appears to be on the horizon.
