DirecTV, Altitude strike deal

Pact expected today, sources say; Comcast lone holdout

Local sports magnate Stan Kroenke has enlisted a second satellite-TV provider, DirecTV, to carry his Altitude Sports & Entertainment network, sources said Thursday.

Representatives from Altitude and El Segundo, Calif.-based DirecTV declined to comment on the deal, which they are expected to announce today. The network is to be carried on DirecTV's basic tier on Channel 644.

Thanks for the link Scott. The guy that wrote the article messed it up. They say the customer switched from D* to E*, and in the next paragraph they say he switced from E* to D*, but he's happy because he got new equipment. So in actuality--the switch was from D* to E*.

Slacker will be happy about this news, and it makes D* more enticing for those of us who live in Colorado.

side note: autosig says "at Top Dogs" and I think you mean "are Top Dogs".
 
You betcha I'm happy! IF, and that seems to be a weaker and weaker if, the NHL hits the ice this year I can now get my games! SD Sports are tough to swallow now, how quickly we get spoiled!
