And the Big 10 had no problems when they wanted a Michigan-OSU rematch.
At least the SEC has been consistant in their playoff stance.
I call BS as most of the Big 10 people I know didn't want a Michigan-OSU rematch either.

Jordan Jefferson is one of the least talented QBs LSU has ever had in the modern era. He showed that last night. And his backup Jarrett Lee wasn't any better. The last 4 years have been plagued by these two. Hopefully that will end next year.
But on a positive note, LSU finished # 2, and deservedly so, yet still had the most wins of all the 1 loss teams, defeating the eventual Orange Bowl Champion, Rose Bowl Champion, and BCS Champion! Says a little about the current system I guess.

I wont say they are the best all time, but statistically and "tale of the tape" certainly puts them in the discussion.Bama's defense beat up bad offenses all year.
Can't call them best defense of all-time: other than Arkansas, did not play/beat a top 60 offense. CUPCAKE CITY!

Call it beating up on cupcakes if you want, but the Bama D was legit. To say they were not, and were a product of a perceived weak offensive schedule is a stretch at the very best.

The Big 12 and sec have been pretty much equal the past several years and it is pretty much a given, even among the media that the Big 12 overall was tougher this year. LSU and Arkansas are the only teams in the sec that had a tough schedule.
I don't have a problem with Alabama, they're a good team probably the best this year, but they didn't really play anyone to prove that. What I have a problem with is all the politicking and the excuses the sec comes up with to try an justify bama getting in.
Losing late in the season is a problem with the bcs. Everyone has a bad night. Bama had theirs in early Nov, OSU and Stanford in mid Nov and LSU last night. The current rules are what they are, hopefully that changes for the better, because it has been getting worse for the past couple of years. The crappy rating last night shows college football screwed up this year. Nobody wanted to see that replay of snoozefest except the sec and espn.
The last time I checked this country was made up of more than the sec states. If you want to be crowned the national champs, you should play the best teams from the entire nation.

#1 in the country, #2 in the division.

The Insider said:I sorry but the SEC and Big 12 have not been "pretty much equal" in fact have not been equal in any way the last several years. The SEC proved that with there records against the big 12 and the beat down OK and Texas got when they thought they could "out offense" the SEC in the title game..
I do agree we need changes and Id rather LSU of whipped OKST and Alabama went to the sugarbowl and whipped stanford just to prove a point but it was what it was.
