What is up with this? I am watching the NASCAR race on Fox. In my living room I am watching it OTA in HD threw my 622 and in my office I am watching it in SD over satellite. The Satellite is 52 seconds behind OTA.
2 22,000 mile trips (uplink center to satellite, satellite to you) vs. however far your local FOX station is from you. Even at 186,000 mps, it takes longer than roughly line-of-sight ever would....
they might have put a delay in the public broadcast because of the flap caused a few weeks back when one of the drivers said the "S" word on the air live during an interview, so they would have time if necessary to bleep something.
