Decades adding more affiliates

I was always told never to go by a hunch, but when Heroes and Icons launched it went to KDCG 22.2 and this tv went to 22.1. With Decades and Movies replacing this elsewhere I am just wondering if This is staying on 22.1 and the This on 32.1 will be replaced by Decades or Movies. They said that the reason why there is This on both stations was a mechanical or technical issue and when the station owner fixes the problem (i guess meaning tribune) everything goes back to normal. Meaning 22.1 would be the H&I and everything else will stay the same. According to what I been seeing the 22 channel this is staying and something else being on 32 with Antenna. I just find it awfully weird that we're the only market with two this tv and decades replacing this eleswhere. Not normal

Whatever happened to the Green Bay Station that is launching Decades WBAY ABC 2. .

Black screen per reports there

I have to correct myself. Today I actually logged WBAY (see the DX thread) and per my Zenith converter box there is no 2-3 anymore. Its 2-1 (ABC) and 2-2 (WX). If there was a 2-3 it would have been between my "local" PBS stuff (TPT MN and TPT WX)

From what I gather, WRIC out of Richmond still airs the LWN programming and KLFY still has a screen showing the reasons why LWN shutdown and replacement programming. Everyone else either has a dark screen or shutdown altogether.

Iceburg I didn't want to start a new thread but do you believe that alot of stations and market will eventually launch the entire 4 weigel programs. Some markets have 3 of the weigel or two on one station and the other two are on different stations in the same market. Fox example WDTJ 58 Milwaukee has three of the 4 (ME, H&I, Decades) with its ABC 12 WISN having movies. Then Lafayette has Me and H&I on the 50 xmitter and either Decades/Movies will launch in the future on 50 or maybe as a duo on KLFY can happen and it may not, we'll see. Just saying seems like Weigel is pushing to launch all 4 on 1 channel, 2 or 3 on a channel and one on different channels in the same market. Basically it seems like Weigel goal is to get all their 4 in as many markets as possible. Seems the Grit/Escape/Laff owner is pushg for the same. I say load em up if you can afford to.

probably not due to capacity on the stations

For example WDTJ 58 Milwaukee has three of the 4 (ME, H&I, Decades) with its ABC 12 WISN having movies.
Weigel owns WDJT so I **hope** they have them ;)
One thing to note is Weigel owns Me and H&I 100% where Decades and Movies! are a 50/50 share with someone (CBS & FOX respectively)

you said the same thing twice there ;)

If you were the owner, why wouldnt you try and get all your stations in as many markets as possible? Why do you think NBC has added 3 new affiliates in the last few months (Jackson TN, Jonesbor Arkansas and your market). They're running a business :)

The thing is that in a lot of markets there just isn't the bandwidth available. There may be room for one or two stations possibly....so when there are 8 or 9 stations competing for your (and everyone elses) eyeballs the station has to figure out "what station is going to give us the best return".

A guy posted on fb page the tee vee guyd that he seen the titan tv line up in phoenix and the cw 61.2 shows decades. I asked him if he rescan his tv and if its launching on any other channels belonging to this media giant.....NEXSTAR.......he hasnt responded but as soon as possible possible I'll update

WXOW La Crosse
WQOW Eau Claire (semi-satellite of WXOW)
can confirm it was changed...today logged both this afternoon while DX'ing.
(and can also confirm my local version on KCCW-DT2 uses more bandwidth. Those 2 stations it looked kinda bitstarved (which happens when you try and cram too much on a RF station) ;)
