DCII free channels?

Well today i got my lard A$$ on the roof to park a moded super dish to 107.3 pluged in the 410 and boom got all the chanels that ice got but no chanel 327, 200 is just fine and the other chanel i need .. So I can conferm now that the 410 will get F chanels from 107.3......

Thank you all for your help in saving my pride. The wife will bow to my comands now on demand!!!

You're both doing better than me... My 410 got 200 -ONCE! Now I've tried since then and it gets "please wait......" on everything!

try 329 or 330 and if all else fails, do a factory reset and then tune to 284.....let it sit 5 minutes and the channel maps will come back

So ice, what you are saying is that a StarChoice receiver will only get SC because the provider ID is locked or will it remap if pointed at other DCII birds?

Some of the older receivers might

but the newer ones only get Starchoice (the software is locked for SC)

I tested what I could get with my DSVR8800 (an OEM'd DSR4400) since GPB is gone and this receiver is symbol rate limited. Basically GPB and SC is about all on Ku Band it can lock and Ku Band is all I have.

Some of these VPIDs are on LyngSat, the others were found by hand, since the receiver has to be reset for each transponder and the channels manually found.

So I seem to be able to get Access on a non StarChoice receiver. Well at least I wouldn't think this commercial receiver would have ever been subbed.

The channel numbers are different but that sounds about right what you can get on a SC or 4DTV type receiver. I get what you show on my 905 (and the guide too if I let it sit for a while)

I tried with my DSR4200V a couple weeks back and got all those, and the fireplace & Christmas tree one too. But the 410....nothin' ! The 4200V will do all the DCII symbol rates. It was my "GPB box" ...but now it's just sitting.

Any idea what transponder or pid the fireplace or tree is using? I don't remember finding them. I guess it doesn't matter too much, they'll be going away soon if not already. I guess I need a TSReader compatible card to find this stuff.

Also something that might be related to the 922 lockups. I found one transponder that confuses the DSR4400. When I selected a certain channel it actually rebooted.
11989V (1239) "F1 T10" VCT 258, Channel 151(crashes),251,261,etc

So 151 reboots the box and the other ones seem to cause it problems. It seems like something in the stream is a bit different from the other transponders, so maybe related to why some receivers lock up. Or maybe this is just where the "channel 284" is that Iceberg mentioned. It might have a lot more map info and is overrunning my receiver's memory.
