Avery leaves Broadway to become a Star - Sportsnet.ca

He's gone to Big D.

The Stars could be literally the league's toughest team (Ribiero, Ott and Avery)

If I were her, I'd be pissed off.

They let loose a blood-and-guts player who can get under your skin for the soft-as-cookie-dough Wade Redden?

To quote the Geico Caveman, "NOT COOL."

More like he's "waving" to Broadway. Sorry, he'll be a punk wherever he goes. I hope Marty clocks him :)

Even Grapes agrees with me. After the "waving" incident:

"I've known this kid since he was about 16 years old," Cherry told Toronto radio station The FAN 590. "Once a jerk, always a jerk. You can't blame the referee, because . he couldn't believe what he was seeing. Could you believe what you were seeing? I've never seen anything like that and I've been in every league that's ever existed."

I'm assuming you're talking about when Avery put his stick and his hands in front of Brodeur's face. I agree it was at the very least bizarre, and the league did the right thing telling him he'd get a penalty if he did it again.

But that does point out that Avery is a guy who will do anything to win. The Rangers are going to miss his competitiveness, his speed, his good hands around the net, and also how much he took the other team off their game.

And we're also going to miss a guy who knocked Brodeur off his pedestal and drove him crazy. You know Brodeur is eating a donut and smiling rignt now.

You cannot judge a Sean Avery by his numbers. Look at the Rangers' record with and without Avery...that's how you judge him. And from now on, unfortunately, it will always be without him.

Sather blew this one big time.

My feelings EXACTLY! I thought we were rid of him in the NHL West but I guess like the proverbial bad penny he will continue to roll back. Oh well, at least he will keep the Anaheim-Dallas rivalry interesting next season!:hungry:

Man I cant wait!!
