This first one is about a four hour hour drive for me and $110 in gas.

This next one is about 50 miles away and would not be an inconvenience to get. I'm looking at getting into a FTA setup for C. But, I like free...

Can you just jack the pole out of the ground? I'd hate to just cut it off and have to find a pole for my use. Any thoughts on this one?

the way i did it was dug around it til it was loose and pushed it down with the truck bumper & loaded it up but it depends on how much concrete was used.

fiberglas it a bit heaver than most other dishes and this is a one piece i think ... was trying to think of the name of it ,,, i'll remember it soon

ok i remembered the name and there are several threads here with them in it they are called Beachcraft of Beach Craft they are actually a pretty good dish for both c & ku

usually they have a distinctive marking in the center of the dish an interlocked B & C

Geez, he should pay $250 to have it taken down! ;)
The 922 might be worth the $100 to a handful of people.
But, a 13' dish up 15' in the air on an 8" pipe?
Good luck with any of that! - :)

Post pictures if you're crazy enough to go for this one. lol

I used to own a square 11 foot fiberglass dish, and I installed it on a 15' pole all by myself... it was my second c-band dish.

I used a chain-drive comealong that I mounted on top of the pole on a rigged gin-pole setup, and then cranked the dish fully mounted on it's polar mount to the top. I then tipped it slightly over the pole with a long 2x4, and "zooop" it slid right on it. Later when I switched to a 10 mesh, I took that dish down the same way. It wasn't really all that hard.

In all the years on the forum, I've yet to see a 10' Birdview.
I know their brochure says they made 'em, but I'm not sure they sold any. :)
There' s always a first - and with no picture shown, I'm waiting for an intrepid member to go see, too. ;)
