I had one of those on my 4 footer for the testing of the conical in the review...had it on 121W for a while until I went KU on that dish
Click the link beside Mike's name if you want to read the entire post 'n discussion.... Also...one trick with the conical adapter is to FIRST find the signal's focal point hotspot WITHOUT the conical device.
It will be reduced, but you will be rewarded when the conical device is slipped onto the feed assembly.
There will be a dramatic shift upwards in signal almost like magic, when you find it.
Trying to both find the focal point and perfectly adjust the conical ring can result in completely missing the best location due to inadvertently setting that ring near a null point on the feed.
It's trial and error, so be patient and organized.
Are there FOX channels in the clear on Galaxy 17 C-band?? I avoided trying for G17 because according to LyngSat everything Fox related on G17 C-band was encrypted. This afternoon I pulled the c-band LNBF further away from the dish and started receiving additional channels such as the FOX channels on Galaxy 17. I also noticed that KCSG comes in as a horizontal channel instead of a vertical. I believe someone mentioned once that the GeoSat C-band LNBF must be mounted with the zero pointing at 9 o'clock instead of 12 o'clock on a motorized dish for whatever reason. I will try turning the LNBF tomorrow and then re-adding the conical scalar ring.
Ok, just odds and ends then, thanks.Yes, but they're not affiliates with full programming. There's a FOX news , for example, and FOX business report, stuff like that.
Yeah, still trying for Fox on G16. Been at it since 1 pm EDT. Getting LeSea, My TV etc. but still no networks.Fox (the network) is on G16 C-Band 99W
What's the new rate?If you are on G16 blind scan...the symbol rate changed on the Nets
My Conical Scalar Ring Test Results-
Before: No island networks on G-16
After : Perfect island networks on G-16
This past weekend I removed the C-band LNBF with conical scalar ring and placed back the KU LNBF. My wife missed Montana PBS, White Springs and other stations. However, now I miss KCSG, virgin island networks, CW and others. I tried adding both to the same dish, but just didn't get the results I wanted. Someday I want to install another 1.2m from the garage and use it for C-band and the other 1.2m for KU band.
