Confused

Interesting that the earliest of those posts is 2011. While the units are proprietary one would imagine there is a way to retrofit and modify to make it workable. Unfortunately there will be no backing of such technology by corporations unless they can control it and amass the almighty dollar.

Yep, definitely designed for one purpose and it isn't ours. :(

Yes sir the picture I took was before I put the 3 bolt clamps back in but they’re in now. The vertical post actually has 3 slots in it and my bolt is passing through the middle slot. I am actually not in Naples but 10 miles or so away. I’ve used location finder on dish pointer to get exact location.
I’ve been using the compass on my phone and moving 8 degrees east of 101 and just a bit higher on the elevation.
I sure appreciate all the pointers and advice! One step at a time…this too shall pass.
Do not pass the bolt through the slots in the post. The bolt sits on top of the post.

I moved my dish to a new location where I have no obstructions. I set mast in concrete 2 days ago and braced with angle iron and is perfectly level.
When I set it up and motor adjusts to 97W I can easily set it to what is actually 101W. Moving east in very small increments from 5-10 degrees with slight elevation adjustment I find nothing.
I returned motor to zero and attempted to locate 95W, which is almost due south, I find nothing. Should I increase or decrease elevation to locate 95W, with motor at zero, or put motor back to 97W and go east?
Lnb is all the way back and at zero where I got strongest signal locked on to 101W.
Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated!

Problem has been GTmedia v8 finder 2 is not working properly. Contacted vendor and followed link to software upgrade. Unzipped to bin file and did upgrade which fails at 50%.
So I changed lnb’s and if I change to tp 86 I get strong and stable signals. Then I scan and it shows 9 tv channels but when complete shows no signal…

Actually I have a few channels. Most are pictures of different cities with traffic moving and I have one that shows the stock market. Am I on Galaxy 19 97W?

I locked on to 101….again and now I’m on Galaxy 16. Like my Pappy always said…even the blind hog finds an acorn from time to time. Now hopefully on to Galaxy 19 where my motor is parked
