yep 7 minutes and counting I am missing the first 15-20 minutes of the steelers game for this show

No loss there.


My kid told me he wants to watch Sarah Connor first; Chuck is still on his list, but lower priority. Me, I am just glad I have 2 DVRs for everything that is on tonight: Chuck, Sarah, Heroes, Big Bang, 2.5 Men, Raising the Bar.... its a busy night!

I also thought it was appropriate that I was in the Buy More (er, I mean Best Buy) picking up my kid a new laptop today... They asked if I wanted the Nerd Herd to help set it up....

Great start to the season last night. I really love this show more with every episode. I think it's also a good lead in for Heroes. It has a bit of action but is much more light-hearted than Heroes.

Is it me, or has Yvonne Strahowski just gotten hotter and hotter this season? Maybe its because I am now watching Chuck on a 106" screen, but damn... I'd keep the intersect in my head, just to be her "asset"

And Monday's show was awesome. Missile Command, and Tom Sawyer. :up :up

Wow.

Just saw my DVR recording of Chuck (the episode "Chuck vs. Tom Sawyer")

Hands down, the best episode they have done.......

For a video game nut who watched The Last Starfighter as a teen and hoped that aliens would come and pick him up to save the galaxy by using his mad video game skills, this one really hid all the right spots..... Yvonne in a sexy Nerd Herd outfit, Adam Baldwin getting a woody ready to hit a button to launch a nuke, an Arrested Development alum as an efficiency expert, the bad dude from IronMan as the heavy, and at the center....

spoilers.... move on if you haven't seen it....

Chuck has to play Missile Command to save California (and his sister who he calls to beg to get out of town, but then agonizes as he hangs up, realizing he can't tell her why). Meanwhile, we get to see a Buy More drone in his early 80's heyday, everyone's favorite asskicking Asian hottie waving palm fronds in her hula skirt (because he sweats a lot when he plays), big explosion when the Japanese dude can't quite get to the mythical "kill screen" with the disarm codes..... The End. Boom. Elevator doors close, dent inwards as explosion hits them.

Then to cap it all off, we get that moment with the diploma....

(slow clapping ensues followed by more rousing applause)

Wow, does this show need to stick around for a few more years...... So far, my favorite episode of any show this season. Well done!

I really like this show. It was good last year, but it's even better this season. The writing is tighter, the "mysteries" seem a little more compelling, and they're doing a good job of introducing more depth to the characters without sacrificing forward motion in the story line. It's very well done... and I hope more people are discovering it.

Its better because they have allowed the love relationship to start to develop and then stopped it. Now each episode has that tension and you expect these two to just grab each other at any second. The show is a little more real now and the two of them take chances saving each other now, that might not have happened before.

I agree 100%, and think that sexual tension adds a lot to it, but add to it good writing, compelling stories, and Yvonne, Yvonne, Yvonne...

I also agree. In some scenarios and with some people this would not work. In this case it is working perfectly with the perfect characters. They have done an excellent job with this show and the plots. This show is GREAT! Yvonne, mmm.
