Nah, just have about 22 years of experience playing around with DISH. That and 40 years of experience with field telephony. But, you do, in fact, learn something new every day.

The Solo Node on our portable 1K4 and the Duo Node on the 1K4 at our Adirondack cottage have both been exposed to the weather since about 2014 with no problems. For the pictured roof installation, I'd suggest adhering the Node to the roof with a quality double sided tape like 3M's automotive trim tape or similar. Also, the unused port should be terminated.

Thanks, I appreciate your input. I haven't figured out how I'm going to secure it yet. Any input from the RV folks out there would be helpful. I will research and figure out something before we get back on the road.

Another option (since TBoyer currently only has two tuners without the Solo Node) would be to simply replace the HWS with a Hopper Duo. A Hopper Duo would work just fine without the Hub, since the Hub is only required if you want to add a Joey.
