Changing locals)US_ if your in Canada?

That's what we would call a broker.
Ask him to change the service address on your account to the city you want locals from.

Derwin
It almost sounds like he is account stacking so he couldn't do that. Most brokers make you charge it to your cc through the provider (at least thats what most brokers who do Cad programming in the US do).

But then again, knowing Tom he has the "enchilada" of programming including his Greek stuff so maybe they're not.

You to remember I'm a TV Fanatic, just ask Iceberg & Derwin0 or others who know me on this forum..
understatement of the year :)

Now grant you I don't know what the "rules" are in the US regarding programing on varries station and about this so called Sindex rule? not exactly sure what this is and I'm aware of no timeshifting(to bad it would be nice to have if on Dish)
syndex is the US version of simsub except they black it out. Syndex is more used in cable where they pipe in a out of market local. When I lived in Duluth, MN (180 miles nE of Minneapolis), we had a UPN station from Minneapolis on cable. During the day most of the time we got the "due to FCC rules we must black out this program" because the syndicated shows (judge shows, talk shows) a local station had the rights to show it. Didnt matter when they were showing it they had Syndex exclusive to that show. So even though Maury was on the Duluth ABC station at 1:35 in the morning, we culdn't watch it on the UPN at 2PM because of syndex rules.

timeshifting is due to having multiple owners of TV stations. Its not like in Canada where the CBC owns the CBC and CTV owns all the stations except for a few. Also the NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) really try hard to not allow satellite companies to get out of market locals for areas where they can see more than one set.

I know more or less DTV & Dish are avaikable most of the US, as for cable I se the commerciALS FOR ok cABLE,tIME wARNAR Cable,AT & T,Verson I'm not sure where all these are available throught out the US if you cann choose more then one in your city or not

most cities only have the one cable company. SOme areas may have an option through the phone company but they can be rare.

nope. I think you're confusing the two again ;)
Most channels in the US they allow the "slightly offensive" words.
The only channels that really allow the f bomb and stuff you'd hear on Trailer Park Boys is the premium movie channels

The cable type channels (TNT, TBS, USA, etc) they're censored

He would've really enjoyed Sci-Fi when it first went on the satellite, 94 I think. Much better stuff back then, less commercials and time-compression-editing.
Last time I had it, right before they went to digital, I had already quit watching it, as it had turned into a twin of USA.

I love SCI-FI.

You have to remember there are alot of shows on SCI-FI not available in Canada as well as alot on the other channels as well. With all the Digitals channels we have here in canada I'm surprised(but really) that they haven't picked up alot of that programing, but then again Can West & BCE are cheapscates

Great 119 signal, no 110
