I woke up this morning to updated software in the DVRs and STBs here in central NJ. The version is 1.4. I played with it for only 10 minutes before leaving for work, but it seems to address a lot of the problems and missing features people have complained about. Fox example:
The time scale can go away when paused so you can see the whole screen.
I seem to be able to add and delete channels over and above the favorites list. Haven't tried end of list rollover yet.
The Set Reminder option works on the STB
Page forward/back, day forward/back work fine
I didn't seem to loose anything in my recordings and schedules. (Although I was rather pissed last night when the old software failed to record NCIS! It was in the schedule but never turned on the recorder.)
On the bad side, the actual information in the guide is just as bad as it had been. Incorrect episode info, new/rerun info etc. is all over the place. Hopefully they'll improve that really soon! The remote SEEMED a bit more responsive, but I'll know that for sure the first time I try to skip some commercials.
