I know we threw a lot of ideas at you, but ya did a great job of picking the ones that were right for you.

Over time, you may decide to try for some other satellite.
If you do, you can add another dish to your collection.
See the Switches Simplified FAQ for wiring (maybe post #2 with the diseqc switch).

And as you noted, the dual-output LNB gives you future expansion capabilities.

I succesfully finished this project and am now receiving CCTV (95W, Galaxy 3C) on my 18" dish.

Congratulations. Your setup looks good and neat. Very clean job. Thanks for using our LNBF (I see it in the picture ) .

Let us know how the signal/dish performs in light/heavy rain or snow. Most likely is will perform fine since you are starting with a strong signal/quality/good alignment.

I measured it at -3.8, but wasn't sure.

Did you also try MAC TV which is on 12050H 20000SR?

We watch the ETTV channels more than any other Chinese channels, these are on 121W, but they are C band.

I use the Sadoun dual LNB's on most of my dish setups...very nice LNB's and able to add receivers if need be

Well I don't speak/read Chinese very well yet, I've been over there 5 times in the last couple of years, but still have so much to learn. However my wife is from Shanghai and has been here for about a year now. I think part of it may be that in the first 26 years of her life she never got to watch Taiwanese channels. Personally, I think these channels are sort of like a Taiwanese Fox News a lot of the time. Seems like every other word is meiguo or kuomintang, so a lot of talk about us, and a lot about politics. I prefer to learn more about Chinese history/culture, so I like some things that annoy her like CCTV Opera on Dish Network.

Other than ETTV the only others that are FTA that can't be found on Ku band are China radio international, and ImaginAsian which is English a lot of the time.
