I just went to the website for
Carrier IQ. I find what is shown from their website in the thumbnail below to be alarming to say the least. There should be an option to disable this software or better yet have it totally removed by the owner of the phones in question. I was a law enforcement officer for 32 years, 16 years as a high level task force investigator with my local D/A's office serving two counties. I used every legal means available with regards to phones in my investigations when warranted, but not before obtaining the proper search warrants and or subpoenas. I agree with Rocky that this equates to illegal wire tapping. Even if this software is being collected and used properly as this business seems to claim, the abuse potential is far to great. They should have received a cease and desist order shortly after it was discovered by Trever. Better yet, never allowed to start up in the first place. The seemingly ever increasing encroachment on our civil rights by business and government, concerns me greatly, and I do not readily sound these concerns often, as many already know.
