Can't get past the Download Software screen ??

I received my NEW Dish Pathway X2, and the 2 Wally's Saturday.. I now have close to 6-1/2 hours logged on the phone with 7 different customer support folks in 3 countries..

When I plug the 2 wally's into the sat and turn them on, I pick my number of boxes, my arch, and my state then scan.. Once the scanning is done it automatically goes to a screen that says: "Downloading Wally Software".. under that is a note saying it could take 20 minutes.. then a phrase that says " Waiting to download" with blue progress blocks.. It never advances OFF this screen?? If I hit skipback/recall/skipback, I get to all my channel, but as soon as the wally is off, it goes back to the beginning . . HELP! !

If the Wally is like the 211 series, original setup has to be done on a fixed dish before they will work properly on a single lnb dome like the X2 or Tailgater. If a neighbor has a fixed dish like a 1000.2 or 1000.4 handy, you might try setting up your Wally on that.

Thanks for the reply.. I heard that may be an issue, I called the 2 retailers close and neither perform that service..

Where did you buy your equipment? They should be able to provide download or refund your purchase.

I read somewhere this morning that doing the following MAY do it :
" once the Wally gets to waiting to download, hit skipback/recall/skipback.. then go to CH# 829 once there, push the button on the front of the wally once, that will put it in standby mode.. shortly it will start to download the software......
 
all is fixed . . I had to connect to ALL 3 western arch satellites to have the wally accept the downloads...It would be nice IF they told you that when buying... Thanks for the responses
