I need some help with an odd problem. I have a client that has C31-700 boxes. They are using the older RF universal remotes with them and DirecTV had us reset the remote (981) when they were having issues. Now the remote doesn’t work at all. It’s almost like the remote reverted to IR mode and the C31-700 is in RF mode and there seems to be no way of pairing the remote again. The box won’t take an IR command. I can’t get into the menu to change anything on the interface and I’m not able to pair the remote back to the box.
DirecTV tech support was not able to fix it and they even turned around and said the remotes were not compatible even though they are working with the same set up in other rooms.
It’s been super frustrating. Any help would be much appreciated.
