Browns WR Stallworth hits, kills Fla. pedestrian

Police: Man hit by Stallworth wasn't in crosswalk

MIAMI – Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte Stallworth said he flashed his car's headlights to warn a pedestrian before fatally striking a man in Miami Beach last month, according to a report released by police.
Would have been nice to have stopped intstead of flashing his lights. Sorry looks like murder to me. He warned him? And then ran him over anyway. Ever heard of stopping? That senario will get you jailed in this state.

The thing that's most revealing is that the official toxicology report hasn't been released yet. It's been over a week and still nothing. I've got to assume this case is long from over. Still many facts still out there...

From what the local FOX affiliate said last night, because the toxicology report states he was BARELY over the legal limit...and the charges may very on what side of the report he is on....they wanted to triple and quadruple check that the results are right.

Charges expected to be filed

Update. Someone was going to post this, might as well be me.....

A report from the Miami Herald states that Stallworth's blood alcohol level (.12) was above the legal limit of .08. Under Florida law, DUI manslaughter is a second-degree felony, carrying a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. The victim, Marco Reyes (59), is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Catalina, and the couple’s 15-year-old daughter, Daniela.

Thoughts and prayers to everyone involved with this incident. :(
