TheKrell, were you able to re-connect your SXM account to Alexa?
Yup; I thought I mentioned that above. Thanks for asking.TheKrell, were you able to re-connect your SXM account to Alexa?
I'll bet you're right. But before I realized that Amazon was having an outage, I assumed what Alexa told me was true and I needed to re-link my account. Online here Amazon Sign-In it still showed my two accounts linked. So I de-linked them to se if I could get it back. Unfortunately, once I did that, I could not link them again until after 8PM.I had that issue yesterday; I don't think the accounts were ever truly un-connected- when I got home from work, SXM worked on all my Echo devices.
I read maybe half. My takeaway is that this occurred on their internal network due to an automatic scaling algorithm that scaled up network use (particularly their DNS requests) well beyond capacity. Because it was on their internal network, they had a hell of a time diagnosing because all that network monitoring software was impacted as well.TL;DR - ”Huh. It’s not supposed to do that.”
