The Roar is up next week, followed by The Rolex 24 hr, both at Daytona.

My 2025 schedule includes Michelin Pilot 4 hr at Mid-Ohio and Indycar at Road America and Mid-Ohio. Maybe the 8 hr GT at Indy, but I may postpone that for the Rolex 24 in '26.

Indycar moves to Fox which might be some growing pains. Peacock delivered all coverage. Not certain how Fox will handle practices and qualifying. IMSA remains on Peacock.

Really looking forward to seeing these cars in June at Mid-Ohio. Hopefully as full of a field. Once the lapping begins, it is real fun to watch. But first, a pair of races for the Roar at the Shore as the preview to the Rolex 24.

Peacock has the four 6-hour segments of the IMSA 24 Hours of Daytona. It was quite the race, made more challenging by the cold weather that moved through the southeast last week. All four classes were close at the end of the twenty-four hours.

A great opening yellow free period. Lamborghini did their typical disappointment thing. Grosjean didn't even get to get behind the wheel!

Got scrappy there for a bit among the GTD Pro, sadly that took out AO Motorsport's Rexy's nose and front right tire, ending their chance at the podium. I believe the Corvette team was penalized for some blatant contact. Corvette and Mustang were having issues out there.

Nasr forced his way into victory. Meyer Shank managed to get second in their return.

At least on two occasions I saw. BMW was hardly innocent in the first case. The #4 Vette had lost the left rear valance getting together with the #1 BMW with 2h48m left. There was no love lost between those two cars.

Whatever gave you that idea? ;)

For others, the umm... gesture, was provided to the Mustang that was responsible for blocking him for a teammate.

As a reminder, this was done at 180 mph by a trained professional, do not attempt yourself.

It was the #48 BMW M4 that was called in for blocking. Peacock isn’t making it easy for me to get a screenshot of the moment.

edit: just before the contact with the #1 BMW, #48 is holding up the #4 Corvette:

I guess I'm just striking out here. I think you are right on that one. It really shouldn't be easy to confuse a Ford with a BMW. The guy literally said 'BMW should be embarrassed.'
article said:
“That kind of racing is not what IMSA’s about,” Milner told IMSA Radio’s Nick Daman after his stint. “It’s not what sports car racing is about.

“First and foremost, the driver should be embarrassed. The team should be embarrassed. BMW should be embarrassed for that kind of racing."
