audio sync issue --

hey guys ---
hoping someone can help. we recently switched to dish -- the past day or 2 we have been noticing the audio/video isn't matching up - lips aren't in sync. i know it is doing it for sure on the hopper --- not sure really about the joey - it's in the bedroom and not used as often.

any tips on fixing it?

I would unplug the hopper for 30 seconds and see if that fixes it.

I've seen this several times using the Optical Output lately and yes, a hard reset seems to fix it

The only times I've noticed it is on the OTA channels. I just change channels and then come right back and it is fixed.

Try a couple skip backs and see if that fixes it.

On non Hopper (VIP) receivers changing the channel and going back to your channel fixes it. Note that the last week or so there is at least one channel that had a little sync problem that does not appear to be receiver related. If I could remember which one I would gladly tell you.....

ok -- seems to be better. except our local NBC --- still lags a little. not awful, but just weird.
