Check channels 66 or 6633 or 6634 for availability. IF WMUR is not showing anywhere on your guide you have to call Dish and verify that can recieve it if so they'll add it for you, thats how I got it. Also check local channel availability on www.dishnetwork.com they have renamed the Burlington DMA local package to Burlington Plus.

I also noticed that they Renamed the Portland-Auburn ME package to Portland-Auburn Plus and WMUR news tonite mention that WMUR is now available to those in the Portland-Auburn DMA as well.

WMUR shows up as channel '66' on the EPG instead of '9'? I wonder why they did that? Neither Portland or Burlington have another channel '9' to conflict with it.

Because its considered signifacantly viewed. Those channels were between 66-69 in the guide.

Only the Boston DMA gets it at channel 9

Yes but why? DirecTV has WMUR as a significantly viewed station in their Portland ME locals (for NH residents) and it shows up as '9'.

Okay at my work place I was able to get WMUR on channel 66 now I we just received our new HD DVR Receiver and when I tried to tune to WMUR it isn't available again. So I decided to go to the http://www.dishnetwork.com and now they are not listing WMUR for Coos County only the Portland Maine locals again. It was showing WMUR a couple of days ago and I have a screenshot to prove it:

I was just wondering what happened and why they pulled it???

If anyone knows......

This really isn't an SV issue but a special SHVERA provision for New Hampshire. It is a way for people in Grafton, Sullivan, Carroll and Coos counties to receive WMUR. The rest of NH is Boston DMA and thus WMUR is a local. Sullivan has it on the SV list so that was a possible route. But the other three were SOL. A few towns in Maine are also SV for WMUR but Dish is not offering it to them.

Dish - get it from the local guy or 800 #?

Honest opinions of DirecTV vs Dish......
