The Jersey shore has beaches? I always thought they were trash dumps with sand. My mistake.

I always thought there was a green haze that came from the ocean.

No, but I've been living south of the Mason-Dixon line for almost 30-years. I should fit right in should I ever experience a significant brain injury, lose my ability to speak clearly, develop a hankerin' for fine dining at the elegant Waffle House and Krispy Kreme doughnuttery, and crave boiled peanuts. :D

Alright, since we're doing home towns, mine is Beaumont, TX.

Beaumont is the very definition of hot and humid. I worked for the National Weather Service there for two summers and once had a reading of 89F with a dewpoint of 81F. If you're a weather geek (that's what I got my degree in), you'll appreciate just how oppressive that is.

Oh, and we were only 35 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. I spent many, many weekends at Crystal Beach in friends' beach houses.

Beach houses that Hurricane Ike lifted off of their stilts and carried about 20 miles inland.

Its pretty, and yall probably get to enjoy it two weeks out of the year. lol ;)

Ha we are the definition of hot and humid from mid-May to mid September. Before and after that it's hit or miss...I was on the beach earlier this week (with my injured ankle elevated higher than my heart thanks to Bill!) when the temps approached 90.
