I used to be a fan of adult movies...until I met my wife who convinced me that I was not. Anyway, while this is certainly television of the future, I have to disagree with this being the future of television. Rather, I feel this is yet another viable way to bring consumers more, and hopefully more affordable, video choices. Perhaps in 10 years all sets will have multiple tuners and be capable of receiving television from multiple sources: ATSC, CATV, DBS, IPTV, over electric lines, etc.

Hey Jim,

With this technology there is no need for Satellite TV, or cableTV or even antennas for that matter, just an internet connection and a TV. This is why I believe that this technology is the wave of the future.

I am amazed how well it works and how good the picture quality is. And amazed when watching somethings that I can pause, rewing, fastforward instantly what I am watching, what even makes this neater is there is no hard drive in the unit, its all real time via the Internet.

I can't wait for mainstream TV to take to this technology.

But my answer is 'NO'. Not interested in adult entertainment.

I must admit, the technology for streaming content on demand would be awesome if utilized for current mainstream TV/PPV viewing via IP.

Not a fast enough connection here either... 386k wireless but I rarely get over 300k....

Am I fan...define fan I guess. I'm all for watching a great looking woman wearing nothing. But after you seen a few, they get a little repetitive. You can only see just so many <fill in bodypart here> before they all look about the same. And the dialog is always cheesy.

As to the technology, I wouldn't say it's the wave of the future, but it's definitely a step in the right direction. What I think you will see more and more of is technology like Verizon's FIOS network where the IPTV (or equivilent) is still kept on it's own chunck of broadband, not being delivered within the confines of the subscribers dsl/cable internet traffic.

A 200k connection should be fast enough. They offer 200, 300 and 500k streams.

I love this technology, just wish more was on it besides porn.

I personally believe IPTV or other technologies using the internet is the future of television and have thought for a while now that television and internet would merge together.
