I can do the same on the HomePod though not directly. Anything I can play on my iPhone or iPad, I can airplay to the HomePod and on the Sonos for that matter. And I actually prefer to do it that way as I have so many smart toys listening that often I can’t get a particular device to play. I have an Echo Spot by my chair which always responds since it is closest and most often when I use Alexa it plays. For me Sonos is better, I can listen to SiriusXM on it, TuneIn Radoo, Slacker, Calm Radio and apple Muisc on it plus play all my music from the computers in my house.

I got a Riva Concert smart speaker today and my initial thought is that the audio is practically the same as the HomePod and better than the Sonos. But it doesn’t have a direct play of most service except via casting or airplay. I’ll be testing more if my new puppy will give me a chance. It is a very active Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix and such a cutie!
