Apple Announces new iPhone 5

Was at Best Buy tonight looking at cases; they were taking "reservations" but did not have any phones, except for those who pre-ordered. A ton of cases out, but basically the exact same cases they had, just a bit longer. :)

Bought a cheap Rocketfish case, but will be looking closely at cases over the next month, and can always return the one at BB.

The bigger screen is great but the Verizon LTE is by far the best feature to me. Im getting good speed tests and the streaming video from Netflix and MLB.tv actually looks as good As it does on my wifi now. No more waiting for Verizon's pretty slow 3G and they actually have LTE pretty much everywhere within at least an hour or two both north and south.

The new speaker is almost too loud now. I think they also improved the sound quality coming from the speaker.

Like Scott said earlier, with the headphone jack moved to the bottom, might Apple be able to squeeze in another speaker on top to provide L-R audio on video.

Also, now that it's dark outside, I thought I'd try a few with and without flash pictures lit only by our front carriage lights. First is with, second is without.

I have been playing with apps. I am surprised Netflix has not updated their app to permit use of the full screen yet. My account has been having one upgrade after another the past several days. Not a big deal, as I don't tend to use Netflix on the iPhone much, but as of now, the screen size is the same as on the 4S for it.

Equally surprised there wasn't an angry birds update yet. I don't play it much, but still... the joys of 3rd parties updating.

Thats what I'm talking about. LTE is much faster than my home cable Internet. It's too bad I had to give up unlimited data to get it. Web browsing is fast and nice on the big screen too. I'm posting this through safari on my phone because the satelliteguys app doesn't allow you to post pictures.

But the SatelliteGuys App doesn't send the full-size picture. I could tell that you didn't use the app because your screen capture was 640x1136 instead of stimpson's 451x800.

Here's a little known tip: you can put 16 apps in a folder now on iPhone 5.

I honestly don't understand why there's a limit to the number of apps in a folder. The infinite folders tweak is one of the things that make giving up jailbreaking so unpalatable. It's nice to have all games in one folder rather than spread across two or three folders. Same for other categories.
