I checked the AirTV adapter this morning after it had been attached all night. It was definitely less warm to the touch than the Dish adapter. One of the unanswered questions is how is the heat?

A little bit of revisionist history there. (In other words, "Why do you always feel the need to over-simplify things?" ) At the time locals were separated out, the locals were only $10, and the packages went down by $5. The increase to $12 for the locals came later. Also, at the time of the $5 increase when the $10 locals were broken out, people with regular packages were not immediately allowed to drop the locals. Only Flex Pack subscribers could drop the locals, and of course they were not affected by that price increase. The ability for regular package subscribers to drop locals came later, but before the locals increased to $12. And now you know the rest of the story. What actually happened was this: Dish added the $12 locals and then reduced the regular packages $7 leaving an actual increase in your billing of $5, which is a normal annual increase. You can't get hung up on the $12 increase without looking at the bottom line increase of $5.
Slim to none.SO- What are the chances Dish will change the software to no longer work with the AirTV dongle?
So other than cosmetic differences, do we think the new Lark tuner is identical to the AirTV tuner?
Yes.
In addition I am told (but have not tested) that it works on the Wally.
Bot to get back to the subjectof OTA dongles. I ordered the ISr TV dual tuner one and will report in how it compares to my single tuner DISH version when used on an HWS>
Probably so since I just bought two of them to see if they work better than DISH dual tuner.SO- What are the chances Dish will change the software to no longer work with the AirTV dongle?

Went to a customer today that had a Lark adapter and was watching OTA channel when I arrived. I asked her about issues with signal loss, pixelation or recordings and she said none so far. I grabbed the adapter and it was barely luke warm
Can someone send a link for the Lark adapter. I can't find it.Yea, I've got one here and can report that it's been trouble free and much cooler than the previous model.
