any chance for a new dual tuner ota dongle?

Can anybody tell me the difference between dual tuner # 213502 and 213293 ?
I think they are both the same new Dish OTA dual tuner, but I just want to confirm before ordering.
Thanks
Do yourself a favor and simply order the AirTV tuner shown in post 535. Stay away from Haupagge they have issues. Don’t overthink this.

While I tend to agree with this, I just thought I should point out that both model numbers that Falcon195 listed are Lark, not Hauppauge. (Lark is the same tuner that is in the AirTV dongle, just in a black case instead of a white one.)

The new dual tuner from AirTV has much better sensitivity for lower signal strengths. Plus it does not run so hot that it burns you if you touch it.
The new tuner receives 51 stations while the old dual tuner received 39 stations.
Plus no pixelating problems when watching on my Joey2.

So do these new dual tuners have better reception as compared to the old dual tuner?
I have only tried the Hauppauge (old dual tuner) and the Lark (new black dual tuner). On both of these tuners, I have observed the problem reported in this thread from the Dish Communities Forum: One tuner of dual OTA adapter keeps going “dead.” - Page 11 - mydish communities - 12560

"Hi, the most obvious thing in my case was missing recordings. I would have recordings scheduled for an OTA channel and the next day the recording would not be there. When I looked at the timer details it would show that the timer started and stopped but the recording status would say "not applicable". This was due to the OTA tuner assisgned to the recording being "asleep or dead" if you will. It would not "wake up" until the Hopper did it's nightly update and reset."

For me, this issue has happened off-and-on when I try to record two OTA channels at the same time, ever since the second OTA tuner was first enabled on the Wally. (This is with the Hauppauge tuner.) When this happens on the Wally, I also see the same behavior on the Hopper Duo, with the Lark tuner. In my opinion, this is a software-related issue.

Well I just received a new style black Dish OTA dual tuner I purchased over ebay. The add said it would be the latest version # 213502 and the photo in the add also showed the tuner and a box which read # 213502. But when I inspected the new tuner I noticed that the label on the tuner has a part # of 213293. Now I have read in this thread that others have had the same issue when ordering off ebay. My question is does anybody actually have a new style black Dish OTA dual tuner with the part # of 213502 on the label on the tuner? Because I am beginning to think that maybe there is no such Dish network tuner with the part # 213502 on the label. Just need to know.
Thanks

Charles answered Falcon's question this way

Should'a gone with the $29.99 one from AirTV.

It works great.
The very next post by Jim spoke of the AirTV

If I recall correctly, he bought both the AirTV and the Lark.
Charles immediately verified my post.

Got an AirTV dual adapter too.

Don't think so. He got spooked when he saw the single on Dish Depot that said it would not work with Hopper. Ever since, he's been obsessing over the two Lark model numbers.

All that said, you are correct about Falcon's obsessive behavior regarding the Larks.

Obsessive yes. But I still don't have the answer to my question. Does anybody have a new style Lark dual tuner with the part # of 213502 on the label on the back of the tuner? Simple really no need to obsess over my question. If you don't have an answer no need to reply.

I had bought an Airttv dual OTA adapter and it was working fine on my HWS and Joey1. Yesterday I upgraded to an H3 and a Joey3. The H3 recognizes that there is OTA tuner attached but the 2 OTA tuners never show up in the TV activity screen and a scan always finds 0 channels. I get prompts that the OTA tuner is ready to scan but no channels are ever found. I still have my old single tuner adapter and plan to swap them later today. I'm thinking that the AirTv adapter has died a quick death. Any other thoughts are appreciated.

I suggest scanning with no adapter and then inserting the single tuner adapter and trying again. Finally reinsert the Air TV tuner without a rescan.
