I have a question. HDMI delivers HD. So does OTA. Regular antennas are capable of delivering HD with a tuner. Regular antennas have coaxial cable attached to them. How are coaxial cable attached antennas capable of delivering HD when we're always told we need HDMI or component cables for HD?

HDMI High Definition Multimedia Interface carries processed digital information from a TUNER to the DISPLAY MONITOR.
OTA and Coaxial Cable carry the raw signal from the ANTENNA to the TUNER for processing.

If you watch the OTA on the TV directly, your TV has a built in tuner. If you have to use a converter box you would have to have HDMI or component from the converter box to the TV to get an HD picture (early HDTVs sold without built in tuners).

Also if you used a box like TiVo to DVR your OTA signal, you would need an HDMI or component connection between the TiVo and the HDTV to watch in HD>
