The last act tonight literally brought me to tears. I am not easily moved, but "Catapult" touched me to the core this week. I also LOVED the two older kids dancing. The little sister gets on my nerves and I did not think their act was as good. I think they saved the best for last. With the exception of the young solo singer who blew it tonight and the unfunny comic, I though all 8 acts were entertaining. It was fun to watch the Rube Goldberg machine the emotionless guy made, but I would not vote for him. AGT stacked the deck today. Too many good acts are going home tomorrow and several crappy acts made it in on the previous show just due to poor bracketing.

Oh well. At least I enjoyed the show, for a change.

I really liked John. I was rolling on the floor. I also agree with Mel, I could listen to Dave all day. Goes all the way back to Season 2 and Cas. Loved Catapults story. Very familiar, though. D'Angelo and Amanda were way better than Ruby and Jonas.

I went to the CBS site yesterday to watch the video they had featured. Clicked on it and it said video not available, try another.

S~

No. Mel is bringing back "Booty" in the semis as her wildcard. Heidi is bringing back DuoResonance. Howie and Howard will be picking next week.

Dave is okay, but I didn't think he deserved to be voted through. Of course, I felt the same way about Cas.

Booty deserves to come back...for the AGT All-Stars segment and not to perform. The last thing I want to hear again is "Bee Dubya Oh! Tee Why?" On the other hand, I was so glad to see Heidi use her wildcard to bring back DuoResonance - they were outstanding and deserved to be voted through to the semi-finals.

What a waste of a wildcard! B-double O-T-Y is played out! It was never any good. It was stupid! Bring back the kid dancers so we can see her cry her eyes out again when both her brother and she are eliminated in the semis.! :) BTW, Big Brother was a class act when they won. You could see he wanted to jump up and down in celebration, but was aware that little sis was crushed.

I wonder if the "One Hit" wonders (and I use that term loosely because I certainly don't hear that song playing on the radio) will return with a new song? You gotta believe they will get X'ed if they do the same schtick...again.

My Summary of the Night's Performances...

Spoiler tags for those who haven't see the show yet. Offhand, the 2nd half of the show was much stronger than the 1st half:

Note: Kristef Brothers are possibly out of the competition or delayed due to an injury in practice. They were replaced by Red Panda (Wild Card).
  • Tone The Chiefrocca - their latest reiteration of B-O-O-T-Y with lots of dancers, background singers, and rap screaming was even more annoying. They were buzzed by Howard, but Mel B loved 'em.
  • Red Panda (Howie's Wild Card pick due to injury) - unicycle dish balancing tosser lady. I'm not sure what to call her act but she was somewhat entertaining.
  • Angela Hoover - female comedian and impressionist...material wasn't very good.
  • Duo Resonance (Heidi's Wild Card) - gymnastical/artsy couple. I really like 'em, but they're other acts were much better IMO.
  • Collins Key - teen magician. I agree with Howard...he really needs to work on his delivery because I was bored and ready to buzz him.
  • Innovative Force - girl's dancing gymnastics act. I agree with Howie and Mel B...tonight wasn't very good. It's time for this act to go back to school and lead cheerleading.
  • * Dave Fenley - Mel B loved him and Howard hated him. Me! I don't think his voice is that good, he was out of tune at times, and I didn't like it...and the beatboxing was horrible. I liked Cas much better.
  • * Taylor Williamson - quirky comic who was funny...and that last joke was classic! He's one of my picks for the evening.
  • Jonathan Allen - two weaknesses...going head-to-head against Forte and dressing himself.
  • Catapult Entertainment - silhouettes knock-off act It wasn't nearly as original or touching as their previous acts. Shame...I enjoyed their others acts, they just didn't tell a good story this evening.
  • * Cami Bradley - I don't know if I liked...odd choice of song and a little too artsy IMO....but I love Cami.
  • * Forte - Sang Unchained Melody in half Italian. Brilliant! I love this act!

* Who I think will be voted through.

I went back and listened for Forte's act for a second time just to make sure I just wasn't in a bad mood when I zapped their last 30 seconds on stage. I confirmed that I really, really did NOT like them. Unchained Melody is a song written in English. Translations of songs LOSE their meaning most of the time in the translated language. I understand Italian, and the words are totally different. The meaning is totally different, and their pronunciation SUCKED. When they changed to English their performance did not gel. It was somehow "off". I can't put my finger on it. When I saw all the judges standing and applauding, I just rolled my eyes and zapped their comments. To me, this was one of the worst acts of the night. And the night was full of really bad acts. Howie said something about how bad the acts were for a semifinal. I couldn't agree more.

Don't mind the live show summary. We all have different things we like. Just those darn results ;) Getting ready to watch the DVR'd, West Coast delayed-live show.

Agree. Hated. His singing was horrid and was like he screamed and got hoarse.
  • Red Panda (Howie's Wild Card pick due to injury) - unicycle dish balancing tosser lady. I'm not sure what to call her act but she was somewhat entertaining.
    Didn't find it entertaining.
  • Angela Hoover - female comedian and impressionist...material wasn't very good.
    Agree. Good voices, weak material
  • Duo Resonance (Heidi's Wild Card) - gymnastical/artsy couple. I really like 'em, but they're other acts were much better IMO.
    Found it boring and clumsy
  • Collins Key - teen magician. I agree with Howard...he really needs to work on his delivery because I was bored and ready to buzz him.
    Performance was a mess.
  • Innovative Force - girl's dancing gymnastics act. I agree with Howie and Mel B...tonight wasn't very good. It's time for this act to go back to school and lead cheerleading.
Found it to be a mess, myself
  • * Dave Fenley - Mel B loved him and Howard hated him. Me! I don't think his voice is that good, he was out of tune at times, and I didn't like it...and the beatboxing was horrible. I liked Cas much better.
Love his voice, didn't like what he did for the semi's
  • * Taylor Williamson - quirky comic who was funny...and that last joke was classic! He's one of my picks for the evening.
Absolutely hilarious. One of my two favorites of the night. I was rolling on the floor. I love how he interacts with the audience during his performance. He would have beat the dogs last year.
  • Jonathan Allen - two weaknesses...going head-to-head against Forte and dressing himself.
Didn't like the beginning and end. Middle was OK
  • Catapult Entertainment - silhouettes knock-off act It wasn't nearly as original or touching as their previous acts. Shame...I enjoyed their others acts, they just didn't tell a good story this evening.
Agreed with all of the judges. Didn't care for it
  • * Cami Bradley - I don't know if I liked...odd choice of song and a little too artsy IMO....but I love Cami.
Absolutely loved it. my other favorite.
  • * Forte - Sang Unchained Melody in half Italian. Brilliant! I love this act!
Seems like the harmony got drowned out. It was OK. They'll make it.

My thoughts.
