Alex Rodriguez tests positive for steroids and now ADMITS it

I don't believe A-Rod is telling the whole truth either. I totally blame him. Read my posts. But implying the list would name 104 Yankees is wrong.

The best thing that could happen is if there are more big names on that list, regardless what teams they play for. Only when there is enough indignation from fans to keep them from coming to games will there be action. Or if congress gets involved again.

Sandra

What do you blame him for? I am curious....

Look, maybe if I explain how Star Island is, you might understand it better. I have added a pic so you can see. The island comes off the McCarthur Causeway heading toward South Beach...that lone street is the ONLY way in or out. When you get on the street and get to the Island, there is a security guard....UNLESS someone is expecting you, 99% of them time they will NOT let you in. After they tell you no... and you insist on stay, you are now tresspassing.

She was asked to leave private property and she refused, therefore, the security guard called the police. She was escorted out. Like I said, "stalking" might have been too strong of a word...BUT she was somewhere she was NOT supposed to be and NOT allowed to be and she didn't wanna leave.

Are you sure its private property?

From wikipedia:

"Though it is a public neighborhood, like many of the wealthier neighborhoods in the greater Miami area Star Island has a guard house at its entrance, giving it the illusion of being an exclusive, private area. However, anyone can enter after stopping at the gate."

How do you know?

If the names are released I can guarantee anyone here that you will see other Yankee players on that list.

And here are some more lies Arod told .

Gammons "Now, when did you get the wake-up call?"

ALEX RODRIGUEZ: It wasn't until 2003. I was laying in my bed in Surprise, Arizona. We were doing a team conditioning down by the pool in Arizona. And I suffered a very serious neck injury that went all the way down to my spine. I missed about 2½ weeks of spring training, and I was scared I was going to miss time. I also had a streak of about 400 games consecutive played, or 300, I'm not sure what the number was. But it was that point in bed that I realized, what am I doing? Not only am I going to hurt my baseball career, but I'm going to hurt my post career.
It was time to grow up, stop being selfish, stop being stupid and take control of whatever you're ingesting. And for that, I couldn't be -- I couldn't feel more regret and feel more sorry because I have so much respect for this game, and, you know, the people that follow me and respect me. And I have millions of fans out there that are, you know, will never look at me the same.

LIES.

Another lie Arod told
Arod "To be quite honest with you, the first time that I knew I had failed a test 100 percent was when the lady from Sports Illustrated [Selena Roberts] came into my gym just a few days ago and told me, "You have failed a test."

Fact.
He was told he failed the test. Gene Orza told him he failed the test back in 2003.

If the names are released I can guarantee anyone here that you will see other Yankee players on that list.

Do you think anyone around here seriously doubts that? You make it sound like you have startling inside information or something.

If 104 names are released, I would think there is a good chance you'll see Yankee players on it...and Mets, and Red Sox, and Dodgers, and Cubs, and perhaps every other team in the league.

Sandra

The lies of Arod

Rodriguez went on to say that Roberts was tossed from his New York City apartment building, that she had to be escorted off of the University Miami campus by police when she sought out Rodriguez at the campus gym on Thursday and that she tried to break into his Miami home where his "children were sleeping".

Nope, It never happened. He lied.

Again..she was tresspassing when she refused to leave. They escorted OFF the island...he may exaggerated, but he didn't lie.

Are you sure? As I said in my post above, according to wikipedia (which I know isn't gospel) the island is a public place.

Do NOT go by Wikipedia...Believe me when I tell you...the guard will call the owner of the house and ask if they are expecting anyone...and if they say no, you will NOT be allowed on the island where A-Rod, Rosie O'Donnell, Gloria Estafan and others live. Many have tried to go "sight-seeing" and they have been rejected. There was a time when you were allowed to go in 'as long you stayd on the main road'....NOT anymore.

Sandra

Did you read my earlier post? I know someone who works in Baseball. And I heard back in 2004 that Arod used Steroids.

Arod is still not telling the truth. He lied in the interview. So that should tell you what's really going on .

Again..she was tresspassing when she refused to leave. They escorted OFF the island...he may exaggerated, but he didn't lie.

That's it. He exaggerated. ESPN News even called him out on it. The reporter was escorted away from the guard shack. She never even made it to his house to wake his children as Ass-Rod made mention of.

I like the sentiment, but it will never happen. You make it sound like MLB or Bud Selig can just make rules about steroid use. Anything and everything about steroids needs to be collectively bargained with the union.

I assume 'banned for life' means his contract automatically becomes null and void as well. The players would go on strike for 15 years before agreeing to this. You're talking about the union agreeing to potentially forfeit billions of dollars for their constituents. This is one of the strongest unions on the planet, and they don't care about the game, they care about getting the most they can for their players.

If congress hadn't stepped in Orza and Fehr would STILL be doing what they did in the 90's...walk into a collective bargaining session, and the first time the word steroids is used, pack their bags, say thank you very much, and walk out the door. The union had zero interest in allowing any kind of testing whatsoever.

If MLB walks into the next collective bargaining session and mentions Olympics-level testing, the union will do the same thing...walk out the door. You can't blame Bud Selig for that.

Sandra

I say let them walk out the door. Let them all go on strike and stay home if they still want to use illegal drugs. Let's bring in some other players that will play the game the way it is supposed to be. Whoever doesn't like it can stay home and watch their teams play without them.

I blame him for whatever happens to him. It's his own fault his name is on that list, not a reporter's fault it was leaked.

Sandra

And I totally agree...but what makes you so sure a reporter leaked in the info? IF the records were supposed to be sealed....whether for right or wrong reason...don't YOU expect them to be sealed?!

Please don't start pulling out the credibility card. I've already called you out on that twice. Both of your so called "insider information" has already proven to be false. Plus, your new around here. As far as I'm concerned, you're just an anonymous internet poster with an agenda.
