Tigers are two games up with only 2-months left in the regular season. An upcoming sweep of the Twinkies this weekend would be schweet!!!
Yes, this was the beginning of the freefall last year, at this point they had lost 6 straight and fell to 8 GB and were never in it again.
Hopefully we don't see a similar freefall this year, they have a chance to snap out of this post all star slump.
The did manage to take 3-4 from Baltimore, but they were all in doubt except todays.
Tigers beat the Twinkies 10-8 in a wild one this evening and the White Sox are down 6-2 to the Indians in the 8th.

We still have the worst records of any Division Leader. However, we're still the Division Leader by three games.
The Red Sox and Yankees are still tied in the bottom of the 12th.
That doesn't matter though, usually that designation belongs to some one in the NL Central or West.
Wasn't that long ago that St. Louis won the WS with the worst record in baseball in the playoffs.
Didn't they win like 83 games that year ?

The Tigers win a seesaw battle with the Twins this afternoon 8-7. Rodney almost blew it in the 9th when he served-up a meatball to Cuddyer, but he held on for out number 3. Rodney always scares the crap out of me.
