Paul, They may need to see if there has been any seismic damage at Comerica after yesterday's full-blown, closed door, concrete wall-rattling tirade by Big Mike to his team after that embarrassing bullpen meltdown to the Tigers. It's reported that the usually firm but even-tempered Mike just blew off like Mt. Vesuvius at all present spewing venom and four-letter words unlike he's ever done before.

Seems like the frustrating season and all the emotions within it finally caused Big Mike to unload. And that's a BIG man to have unload on you when he's angry!!!!!

I'll bet you could hear a pin drop on the charter to St. Pete.

Your Angel's certainly have a troubled bullpen, which makes letting K-Rod go look like a mistake. We just passed the 1/3rd mark of the schedule, so there is still time to fix it. What's up with Guerroro? Looks like he is having an off season.

I am still in complete agreement with letting KRod go. For what he was asking and the length of contract, it was out of reach. Trust me, he WILL begin to burn out in the not-too-distant-future.

Vlad is wearing out after surgery and I do not look for the Angels to re-sign him when his contract is up. They have a boy in AAA named Brandon Wood that is just knocking the leather off the ball but gets no playing time when he gets called up to the Show. I look for his big bat to contribute as the season goes along. It's inevitable.

The bullpen got called upon way too much too early cause the starters were all in a flux. The pen DID show some signs of stability last week but blew apart in Motown. With the starting 5 in there now, we'll see what changes.

FYI, I am TOTALLY happy with what I saw from the Angels' starters in the Detroit series.:up

Well, I think a few weeks back I said I dont think I will like Bonderman at 89-91 mph..I was right, now it is only the first, its his first start of the season or at this level in over a year so cannot judge him completely, but right now he looks very very hitable.. LEts wait and see if he settles in a bit, but he is getting hit right now..I hope he makes it back, because he had a rough go for the past year... THen again this is thing and always has..1st inning has never been kind to him...

Your not missing much ....
Looks like Bonderman needs to keep working bullpen sessions till his velocity gets built up ....
They definatly thru him right into the fire, the WhiSox ALWAYS give the Tigers problems.
Hopefully Leyland doesn't wait till the game is out of reach to pull him.

Hate to say it but his velocity isn't coming back..He has to learn how to pitch now..It is not going to be an easy road for him..Ive always doubted his heart, he just seemed to pout too much, I hope it works out for him, but I am not seeing it right now..

He never had the 94-99 mph fastball .... but your right, he needs to talk with Tom Glavine and Maddux and see if they can help him master the other pitches.

Tigers will get crushed again tomorrow when they throw out another basket case, Dontrelle Wiilis.

If Bonderman continues this way he and Dontrelle should both back in the pen or sent down till they can be reliable.

Tiger's are in a pennant race and are officially giving up 2 out of 5 games a week at this rate.
Giving up 2 games a week will KILL them in the long run.

Definitely not the Bonderman of old velocity wise. I'll right this one off to not having pitched in the MLB for over a year. Good movement on his pitches, he will need to master spotting the ball better. I'm sure he's been on the phone with Kenny Rogers right after the game ended.

Tiger's need to win 2 out of the next 3.
