Well, it's gonna come down to KC, they always play Detroit tough and have a GREAT opportunity to RUIN the Tigers year.

The Sox play the Indians to close out the season ...

Yes the days are winding down and the magic numbers as well, but they have a long ways to go to wrap it up officially, unless the Sox fail with the Indians.

Cleveland has played .500 ball in the last 10, so ya never know.

The Tigers have done their best to ruin their year...just don't need any more help from K.C.

Chicago vs. Tampa Bay (2:10 PM ET)
Tampa Bay: Price (19-5, 2.56 ERA)
CHW: Quintana (6-5, 3.60 ERA)

Minnesota vs. Detroit (2:10 PM ET)
DET: Sanchez (4-6, 3.95 ERA)
MIN: Hendriks (1-8, 6.09 ERA)

Hope the tigers can extend it to the post season, because lions season is about over

Big homer for Prince, showed some emotion on the HR, have not seen that much emotion from him, it was a big HR!

Great play by Jackson probably just kept Span from getting a lead off triple in the bottom of the 9th. He also just made another good play for the 2nd out.

Yeah! We escaped with a win this afternoon. I may have to start making plans to head back for some post-season action. :)

May be happening, I know I did not think it would happen, my posts this year show it :)

And with that the Tigers would have to lose the final 3 games with the white sox winning out to force a game 163. Barring that the Tigers are going to the postseason! It looks like we will probably be playing the Yankees or Orioles in the first round depending on who wins the AL East.

I can't believe we haven't been able to get to Minnesota's pitcher, Hendriks.
This is typical of the Tigers thruout the nyear, get a Pitcher with a 6 ERA and make him look like Cy.

Fortunately they pulled the game out today and while the Sox lost, making the division available for the taking tomorrow with a Tigers WIN or a Sox loss. I prefer the Tigers WIN !
