Well, Porcello is not 23 and with 4-years under his belt. I'm hoping this is his breakout...15-wins and a 3.5 ERA would be sweet. :)

Um....
Porcello IS 23 .... Dec. 27th 1988
Won't be 24 till after Christmas.

He has won 14 twice so far in his 3 year career and 10 another year.

I'm hoping for 13-15 wins for him and a LOWER ERA ... he's been 3.96 and up thru his career.
3.50 would be a decent improvement.

A lot of it also has to do with these smaller touchscreen devices and my general disdain toward wearing reading glasses.

Wondering the same, will have to check out highlights tonight

Verlander gave up 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th and left the game with 2 more runners on base and 1 out. Schlereth allowed another runner and then Valverde came in bases loaded one out. He gave up a ground ball single up the middle scoring verlander's last 2 runners and then got the final out.

I'm not going to worry about that one to much. He pitched a great game and lost it at the end. In the 9th he threw 10 fastballs in a row over 98 mph and they slapped them into play. The rest of the game he stayed around 94 and mixed up his pitches much better. He also only allowed 1 hit and 1 walk until the 9th. I think this was just a case of him trying to blow everyone away in the bottom of the 9th for a complete game shutout.

Guy went 8 innings last week and 2 hits and 0 runs and didn't get the Win.
Today he gives up 1 hit thru 8 and doesn't get the win.

An ugly save, but a Twins win! And a comeback from an 0-6 deficit to win 10-9.

Does anyone else find the on-field, post-game interviews that are pumped through the stadium PA system to be really annoying?

They don't do that at Comerica Park but I could see that being annoying. Twins win 2 straight and the Tigers took 5 of 6 from the Red Sox and Rays. I'll take that any day.

I did cut Lirano from my fantasy team after another poor start though. I picked up Duffy from KC to fill his spot. My team is pretty loaded with AL central players. Miguel Cabrera, Alex Avila, Brennan Boesch, Eric Hosmer, Jeff Francoeur, Danny Duffy, Bruce Chen, Denard Span, Asdrubal Cabrera, and Gordon Beckham. Go AL Central!
