AL Central 2010

WE'RE GOING STREAKING!!!!!!!

Has anyone happened to notice what's going on in Cleveland? Let me recap our 4 game win streak...

Thursday April 15th: #4 SP, David Huff pitched a complete game 4 hitter for a 3-2 win over the Rangers. Sin Soo Choo (best player in the league no one knows about) was 2 for 4 with all 3 RBI's.

Friday April 16th: #5 SP, Mitch Talbot pitched a complete game, giving up only 1 ER, while out-dueling Mark freaking Buehrle for a 6-2 win against the White Sox.

Saturday April 17th: Another strong starting performance, this time by recently rejuvenated (Tommy John surgery), Jake Westbrook. Westy went 7 strong innings, giving up only 2 ER. Tribe grinded out the 3-2 win and Choo piled up another 2 RBI's.

Sunday April 18th: Fausto Carmona earned his second win of the season by going 6 and giving up only 3 ER. The bullpen handeled the rest, while Sin Soo Choo went 2 for 3 with FIVE RBI's and a Grand Slam! Tribe wins 7-4 and sweeps the White Sox!

Choo Named Player of the Week

Remember when I called Sin Soo Choo the "best player know one knew about"? Well, I think people are starting to notice....

Following a monster offensive week in which he notched 11 hits in 19 at-bats -- many of them in clutch moments -- Choo was named American League Player of the Week.

In six games last week, Choo led the Majors with a .579 batting average, 11 RBIs, a 1.211 slugging percentage and a .680 on-base percentage, while his 23 total bases were tied for a big league best. He also added three home runs, five runs scored and three doubles in a week that saw Cleveland go 4-2.

Bonderman officially sucks!!! He is far from having his "old stuff" and hasn't learned how to pitch with his current stuff.

Jeremy Bonderman gave up three first-inning runs and held the Angels to one hit over the next five -- a bunt single by Erick Aybar leading off the third. Only two other batters reached base against Bonderman during that stretch, Mike Napoli on Kelly's throwing error at third base, and Torii Hunter on a fielding error by Bonderman in the sixth.

Only 1 hit after the first inning and that was a bunt ..... thru 6 ....

If I recall, Bonderman had the same trouble when he went down for surgery, couldn't get out of the 1st inning and settled in after that.

Darn I guess I have to wait until June when our local power company has a promo with ACE hardware to pick up 8 of them for 29 cents a piece. You just gotta fill out a form that says yes you live in the town.

Tigers are getting screwed tonight.
JV pitching , IF the Angels don't swing at it, it's NOT a strike.

I hate that type of umpiring.
Have the balls to call a strike a strike.

JV should have been out of the inning long ago.
36 pitches in the first inning, compliments of the UMP

At least its 3-2 and not 2-0.

WEEI's Dennis and Callahan to be simulcast live on NESN

Don't look now, but Steve Lavin is making St. John's relevant again
