AL Central 2010

The one sure thing Pitching wise the Tigers have going, has struggled of late and about to hand the yankees a victory.

Come on Jose Valverde

Sweet holy moly Jimbo, does Valverde always work that slowly? I swear it seemed like he was taking like 20 minutes between each pitch. It was painful to watch.

He did everything he possibly could to give the Yankees the game, but the Yankees wouldn't let him! Terrible toss by Peralta on that game ending double play. He left your second basemen vulnerable to being run into...and run-into he was.

coming from a Yankees fan where a typical game can last 3 1/2+ hours (and a Red Sox game lasting 4 hours) thats saying a lot ;)

Some of the local weather folks here really shouldnt try to mix weather and sports together. The lady on the news at 11:00 said "Its gonna be a nice night at the Twins game. Hopefully they can stay in 1st place"

um...the Twins have a 3 game lead so uh yeah they'll still be in 1st place

Exactly. I know what it takes to make a game drag...and it's usually the hitter being patient, not a pitcher gathering his thoughts, going on a little stroll, kicking the dirt out of his spikes, wiping his brow, picking up and throwing down the resin bag, taking a few deep breaths, settling his foot into the rubber with the precision of someone with OCD, then FINALLY looking into the catcher for a sign...AND HE DOES IT WITH EVERY PITCH!!!

Thank goodness Mariano and Papelbon don't do that!
