AL Central 2010

Cabrera for MVP

Miguel Cabrera has hit another one out today.
Thats his 4th HR of the series .....

Yup, maybe they should have walked him again. :D

Tigers 2
yankees 0

STILL very EARLY

Now we know why it takes the yankees so long to play games, it took Jeter 18 seconds to just get into the box and ready to swing the bat, this is from the time he had already gotten to the batters box.
Then he didn't like the call on the second pitch and decided to take a stroll .....

They should change the rules .... if you step OUT of the batters box it's an automatic strike.

its on MLB Net today too

but alas they probably are using the NO feed so we have to deal with those announcers

MLB Network is blacked out here of course, thought maybe I could hear someone elses announcers for a change.

Does MLB Network have thier own announcers or are they using a team feed ?

Thursday night is their own guys...the rest of the time its just a feed from one of the teams....and they love using YES any time they can...

Well I am the opposite, I can't Stomach the Tigers.
Well..I can't stand Tiger, but I love the Tigers! :D Anyway, should the Tigers not complete their comeback I am comtemplating whether I want the Twins or White Stockings to win the division. Of course, it's like being handed a death sentence and asked to choose between impalement and crucifixion.

and I was right...turned it on and its not FS Detroit they are using

Thats good, I've heard enough of the Tigers TV guys.

I could always turn it on the XM and listen to the yankees broadcast.
I don't mind the Tigers radio announcers.

Of course when you've listened to Ernie Harwell for all these years, it's kinda hard to listen to these other guys.

I have always hated slow players and wish the home umpire would be permitted to send a jolk of electricity to players who are warned and yet continue to malinger on the mound or at home plate. When a player takes the mound they should be ready to pitch...and when they step to the plate they should be ready to hit.

Not saying it isn't possible but 12 back with 42 to play is a tall feet. This will mean gaining two games week. Not mention they would need to go 4-2 or 5-1 against the Twins in the remaining 6 games. Twins reverse that and got 4-2 or 5-1 will put them out of it. Besides the Twins continue to play as they do every year and pick it up down the stretch.

Who knows, maybe next week when the Twins venture to Texas and Seattle for 6 games it may all change. Not sure why the Mariners are the Twins Kryptonite recently.

So you want to give the Umps TASERS now !
Yikes, what happens when the weather turns to rain !!!!

Don't the Umps have ENOUGH power as it is , we don't need them STARTING any more than they ALREADY do.

Inge may be traded by the end of the week. That's the scuttlebutt around here. Anybody else think that Bonderman may be done as a Tiger after this season?

I've mentioned that I think Bonderman would be gone after the season from the beginning of the season, his contract is up and the Tigers were possibly looking at keeping him at a MUCH lower value as a 4 or 5 pitcher (where he is now).

As for Inge, I have not heard anything, but I pretty much quit listening about them about 3 weeks after the AS break.

What are you hearing about Inge ?

They have a BUNCH of players coming off the books at the end of the year, they have been waiting till the end of the year to reshape the team in the off season and now that they have a bunch of money they BETTER do it.

I would not hesitate to unload Bonderman and Damon, but I would probably retain Inge. It should be intesting to see what happens in the coming months.

I do...There will be many contracts not renewed this year

I have heard that Damon would like to come back .... this surprises me seeing his small amount of playing time.
Got to get him out of the outfield .... Ugh
I like his experience though.

WEEI's Dennis and Callahan to be simulcast live on NESN

Don't look now, but Steve Lavin is making St. John's relevant again
